NIT Students secure placements at Visa and Tekion

National Institute of Technology Raipur’s final year Information Technology students Durgesh Pushpkar, Lalit Kumar Jena, and Hemant Patel, Computer Science and Engineering students Gritika Chandrakar and Bharat Bhushan Tandon, Electrical Engineering student Md. Sadique, and Electronics and Communication Engineering student Hemant Kumar Rathore have bagged a placement of 28.5 LPA at Visa as Software Developing Engineers. Final year Information Technology students Twinkle Agarwal, Mahim Mittal, Akashdeep Chandrakar, Manas Chandrawanshi, and Omprakash Patel, Computer Science and Engineering students Akash Sudan, Tushar Singh, Vashu Jain, Chodisetti Venkata Rohith, Atul Rathore, Pabbisetty Sai Venkata Tarun Kumar, and Harshdeep Raghwanshi have bagged a placement of 47 LPA at Tekion as full-time Software Developers.
Hailing from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, Md. Sadique shared his preparation journey by emphasizing his problem-solving practice on online platforms like GeeksforGeeks and Leetcode. He emphasized the importance of building a good project around which you can drive your interview. He recommended beginners to focus on Data Structures and Algorithms and to develop proficiency in Competitive programming.
Sushant Pandey from Koriya, Chhattisgarh received an offer from Tekion with 47 LPA CTC. He mentioned that he started web development in 2nd semester by following various courses available and in 3rd semester, he began practicing Data Structures and Algorithms in C++. He shared that coding platforms like Hackerrank and GeeksforGeeks are good for beginners and they helped him a lot in creating a strong foundation. After getting a grip on DSA concepts, he started solving problems on Leetcode for a better understanding of those concepts. To develop efficiency and speed for online assessments, having good proficiency in competitive programming is necessary. Further, he mentioned that projects help a lot during the interview and suggested that while selecting a project we should try to solve some real-world problems.
Hemant Kumar Rathore from Korba, Chhattisgarh received an offer letter from VISA INC. as an SWE with a package of 28.5 LPA. He started writing articles regarding Data Structures and Algorithms in GEEKS FOR GEEKS platform.
