Special mega health check-up camp for school children, 750 benefit from it

Bhilai, Oct 30: Under the Chief Minister Urban Slum Health Scheme, people are getting free health benefits. On the instructions of Bhilai Commissioner Prakash Sarve, the health of 750 school children was tested through a camp where all three mobile medical units together conducted check up in the government school of Khursipar on Saturday. Free sanitary pads were also provided to the girls who came to the camp for examination. The team of experienced doctors present in the camp examined the children’s haemoglobin, blood group including sickling and informed about the health to them and the family was told to adopt good food habits, living habits and cleanliness. Two mobile medical units and a Dai-Didi clinic are operating under Municipal Corporation Bhilai area, which are organizing camps to provide proper health services in slum areas as per the intention of the government. Under this, today all the three mobile units conducted joint camps together and conducted health check-ups of school children.
Corporation commissioner Prakash Sarve, who came to inspect the camp, also got the BP, sugar checked and motivated the children to get the test done. MMU’s APM Ishan Sharma said that a one-day special camp was organised near Baba Balak Nath Temple in Government School Khursipar. In the camp, the health of 750 boys/girls studying in middle, high school and higher secondary was tested. In the camp, the weight, haemoglobin, sickling of the children were checked by the doctors and medicines were distributed as per the requirement. Free sanitary pads were distributed to the girls who came to the Dai-Didi clinic for health check-up. To bring health awareness among school children, their blood group was also checked, while the weight of girls who got haemoglobin test was done.
In the camp organized in the school premises, Dr Trisha Singh informed the girls about the importance of haemoglobin test while giving information about the measures to be aware of their health and Dr Annu Dubey gave detailed information about staying healthy through good food and drink. APM Bhavna Rajput, Dr Vajas Kumar Verma, Pharmacist Amit Sahu, D Borkar, Indu Roy, Omkar Sonwani, Lab Technician Sarita Devangan, Tushar Gajendra, Amrik Kurre, Nurse Manju Yadav, Tara Deshmukh, Vimla Tandon were present.
