CG Athletics Asso explores possibilities for constructing Athletics Track

Bhilai, Jan 31: On Sunday, the working committee meeting of Chhattisgarh Athletics Association was held at the auditorium of Ayyappa Temple in Sector 2. GS Bamra chaired the meeting during which various issues were discussed. Presidents and Secretaries of all the districts attended the meeting.
For conducting various activities, different committees were constituted. Discussion was held for the events in West Zone. The working committee gave approval for conducting half marathon on March 07 by Ganapati Welfare and Education Society in the memory of Late KG.
Later they visited a ground in Sector 8 to explore the possibilities of developing it as athletics track. GS Bhamra interacted with athletes and assured them that they will construct an athletic track with support of Chhattisgarh Government in Sector 8. He added that the athletes and children of Bhilai will get better facilities and benefits with the construction of synthetic track, informed Chhattisgarh Athletic Association Joint Secretary G Ravi Raja.
