Halla Bol Sangharsh Samiti stages sit-in during SAIL Chairman’s visit

Bhilai, Jun 12: A section of BSP employees accompanied by the family members of deceased employees staged demonstration near Equipment Square during SAIL Chairman’s visit on Saturday. The dharna commenced with paying tributes to the BSP workers those who lost their lives in the Gas Leak incidence of June 12, 2014 and the workers who died due to Covid infection.
Halla Bol Sangharsh Morcha demanded compassionate appointment to the dependents of the workers who died in the Covid transition and compensation of Rs 50 lakh to each family. They further demanded withdrawal of suspension and other disciplinary actions taken against the BSP employees.
A memorandum was forwarded to the SAIL Chairman Soma Mondal through BSP’s IR Department. Halla Bol Sangharsh Morcha demanded to fulfil the aforementioned demands immediately else they would resort to aggressive agitation. Family members of Late Tekram, Late Anil Kumar Verma, Late Ajit Ram Krishak, Late Shivram, Late Vijay Kumar Mukherjee, Late Lakshmi Narayan, Late K Appa Rao, Late Appala Swamy also showed solidarity with the Morcha in support of their demands.
Leaders and members of Loktantrik Ispat evam Engineering Mazdoor Union, AICCTU, Hindustan Ispat Theka Shramik Union (CITU), officials of Hindustan Steel Employees Union; family of Late Karthik Ram Thakur, Chandrabhan from Gondwana Samaj, Bhilai Loksrujan Samiti, House Lease Sangharsh Samiti, young workers and others also joined the demonstration.
Mohit Sahu, Suresh Chand, Jiya Siddhiqui, Kamlesh Chopra, Shubham Sahu, Dinesh Kumar, Vishwaroop Verma, Santosh Kumar, Mohammad Akhtar, Kunjbihari Mishra, Suresh Nair, Muktanand Sahu, Vinod Rajput, Kaladas Dahriya, Surendra Mohanty, Jaiprakash Nair, OP Sharma, KD Nirmalkar, Amit Burman, Aditya Verma, Yogesh Soni, Ranjan Kumar, DP Singh, Ali Akbar, Jameel Ahmed, Srinivas Rao, Ashok Miri, Shyamlal Sahu, Mir Ali, Siju Mathew, Vijay Bahadur, Venkat Sublu, Saroj, Sabina, Amani and others were present.
