Collector conducts review meeting with Revenue Officers

Bhilai, Jun 19: On Saturday, District Collector directed the Revenue Officials to complete the official procedure within stipulated time frame in applications of Fauti (death) category. He said that the family members of the farmers who died due to Covid infection have produced applications of Fauti so that they shall not face any problem in getting seeds and manures / fertilizers from the cooperative societies.
Such applications must be disposed off at its earliest so that the farmers do not face any problem. Collector Dr Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure gave these instructions in the review meeting of revenue officers. Dr Bhure said that due to the lockdown, the work of tehsil offices was affected but now the courts have opened, so that pending cases should be disposed off expeditiously.
He directed to give priority to cases which are pending for the last two years and more. He said that the number of cases disposed of daily should be more than the number of cases received on that particular day. This will gradually reduce the pendency of revenue cases.
Collector said that all the applications related to ownership transfer, lease and mistake correction should be done on priority basis and the property registry process should be streamlined. He informed that the said that the work of Girdawari will commence soon and it should be done in a transparent manner because the data collected from Girdawari provides important information about agriculture to the administration. Collector said that the work of rectification of records is also very important. Accelerate its tasks along with other works.
Collector said that a scheme has been introduced by the state government to give land ownership rights. He asked the officials to make the people aware about it so that they can take advantage of the facility. Through this facility, they will get the title of the land, which will free them from the uncertainty of ownership. Collector said that the cases of land acquisition should also be resolved within the time limit.
In view of the possibility of a third wave of corona, he also instructed the SDMs to monitor the arrangements in the block headquarters. He directed to make arrangements of ventilators, warm-up machines for children and other arrangements related to infection of children in the hospitals of the block headquarters.
Collector said that the Covid appropriate behaviour is very important to prevent the third wave. It has been observed that as soon as the second wave weakens, people have become careless and are not following the Covid Appropriate Behavior.
He directed to impose a penalty for violating the protocol. Make people aware about the possibility of a third wave and keep watch at places in urban areas, where a large crowd gathers.
He pointed out the spots like Civic centre in Bhilai Township and asked the revenue officials to ensure strict monitoring. Collector also directed to expedite the recovery of the pending fees of revenue matters like diversion, infrastructure or environment related issues. Ensure recovery of outstanding amounts on priority, he said.
