Bhilai, Jul 22: DLSA is conducting a special campaign from July 19 to 25 at Gandhi Chowk in front of Hindi Bhawan under the guidance and instructions of District and Sessions Judge Rajesh Srivastava (Chairman District Legal Services Authority Durg).
Under this Roko-Toko campaign, information about laws is also being provided to the people. Additional District and Sessions Judge Madhu Tiwari and Additional District and Sessions Judge Neeru Singh were specially present in this campaign on Thursday.
They said that education is the first key to success. Development of any society, state and country depends on its young generation. In such a situation, if the young generation is well educated, their importance increases even more. Right to education for children is a fundamental right but it is often seen that some parents are not interested in providing education to their children.
It has also been seen that children do not give importance to studies. It is also found that girls are kept away from education in rural and slum areas. In the present time both boys and girls are equal, today girls are moving shoulder to shoulder with boys, in such a situation, discriminating between boy and girl is a sick mentality.
Article 21-A and the RTE Act came into effect on 1 April 2010. The title of the RTE Act incorporates the words ‘free and compulsory’. ‘Free education’ means that no child, other than a child who has been admitted by his or her parents to a school which is not supported by the appropriate Government, shall be liable to pay any kind of fee or charges or expenses which may prevent him or her from pursuing and completing elementary education.
‘Compulsory education’ casts an obligation on the appropriate Government and local authorities to provide and ensure admission, attendance and completion of elementary education by all children in the 6-14 age group.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Neeru Singh gave information regarding the drug eradication scheme of NALSA. Most of the cases of motor accidents occur due to drunk driving. The youth in the society are attracted towards drugs in the present situation.
In many places, hookah bars are also run illegally. Youths are attracted and they get addicted to intoxicants. Drug and substance abuse leads their future into darkness and makes an adverse impact on society. The families of the drug addicts start breaking up and disintegrating. When a person gets addicted to drugs, he tries to stay away from society. Bad habits like intoxication can be kept away through good education and virtues.
