BMC continues action against illegal kiosks, encroachments

Bhilai, Sep 01: Bhilai Municipal Corporation is taking strong action against illegal kiosks, encroachments, illegal plotting and dumps that are obstructing roads etc. In this regard the Bhilai Municipal Commissioner Rituraj Raghuvanshi has constituted a special squad that has intensified action within the Bhilai Municipal limits.
Nodal Officer and Deputy Commissioner Sunil Agrahari, Deputy Engineer Siddharth Sahu and Assistant Revenue Officer Balkrishna Naidu have been included in the special squad. Since the formation of the Special Squad, dozens of actions have been taken in the Bhilai Corporation area so far.
The Special Squad team is moving around in the city. On Wednesday the team acted against four illegal dumps which were removed from the main road leading to Kurud-Kohka-Rungta College in Zone 02 Vaishali Nagar area.
Also two illegal dumps and two illegal encroachments were removed from the main road of ward number 27 Ghasidas Nagar Bhagwa Chowk. Here a temporary kiosk had been raised illegally with the use of bamboos to do the business of meat, fish etc. Near Bhagwa Chowk. When the team reached the spot during inspection, the items were seized and bamboo was also removed and confiscated.
Wherever information about illegal encroachment, illegal occupation and illegal plotting is being received, action is being taken against them. Balkrishna Naidu of Special Squad, Assistant Revenue Officer Anil Meshram, Kanhaiya Yadav of Demolition Squad, driver Mansingh, Chaitu, Gaukaran and Rajendra were present during the removal of kiosk and freeing encroachment.
