Man held for sexual harassment

Bhilai, Feb 22: Police have arrested a person on charges of sexually harassing a woman and assaulting her with intent to outrage her modesty. ASP (Rural & IUCAW) Praggya Meshram informed that the victim is a married lady of village Tarkori of Dhamdha Police Station area.
On February 20, she had gone to guard her agriculture fields situated on Berla Road. At around 17:00 hrs, the accused finding her alone in the fields approached her. The accused tried to sexually harass her.
The victim lady approached Dhamdha Police Station and lodged a complaint under sections 354, 354A of IPC. Taking the matter into serious consideration, Police team swung into action and the accused was taken in custody. The accused identified as Om Prakash Sinha (46) son of Late Gaind Ram Sinha a resident of village Tarkori, PS Dhamdha was arrested and produced before the court.
