State Govt committed to provide quality education to every child: CM

Mungeli, Jun 05: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel inaugurated Swami Atmanand Government English School Mungeli through a virtual program from his residence office here. It has been constructed with an amount of about Rs 5 crore.
The Chief Minister released the career guide published by the district administration Mungeli on the occasion and congratulated the school children and wished them a bright future. On the occasion, the Chief Minister interacted with the students of Swami Atmanand Government English School, Mungeli and encouraged them. Leader of Opposition Dharamlal Kaushik also joined the virtual program. On this occasion, School Education Minister Dr. Premsai Singh Tekam, Panchayat and Rural Development Minister T.S. Singhdeo, Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Subrat Sahoo and Principal Secretary, School Education Dr. Alok Shukla were also present.
While addressing the virtual inauguration ceremony, Chief Minister Baghel said that the state government is committed to provide quality education to every child of the state. The government is also making continuous efforts in this direction. He said that the poorest children of the state should get facilities like private schools, they can also prepare themselves for future competitions by studying in English medium, for this Swami Atmanand English Medium Schools have been established.
To remove the inequality of opportunities in the field of education in the state, today we have taken another step in the same direction, which our government started by setting up a chain of Swami Atmanand English medium schools. He told that last year we had established 52 Swami Atmanand Government English Schools in the state. Now this year 119 more schools are being started. Thus the number of such special schools in the state has now increased to 171. On this occasion, Chief Minister Baghel further said that our aim is to give excellent education to the children as well as to build their personality. In this, the school environment is being developed in such a way that every child can develop his personality all round.
He said that under this, more than 20 thousand children from class I to XII had taken admission in 52 schools operated in the state in the session 2020-21. The process of admission has started in 119 newly opened schools. The Chief Minister said that during the Corona era, challenges had to be faced in all fields as well as in the field of education. Children’s education was also affected. The state government has made such arrangements through the ‘Padhai Tuhar Duar’ program that the children continue to get education. Many children have lost their parents in the COVID-era. Corona has also created a crisis regarding their education and future.
The state government has identified such children and has taken up the responsibility of building their education and future. For this ‘Chhattisgarh Mahtari Dular Yojana’ has been started. Under this, along with providing free education to the children, scholarships will also be given. Children who have lost their parents to Corona if they apply for admission in Swami Atmanand English Medium School will be given top priority in admission.
