Family holding marriage fined Rs 10000

Sukma, Jun 10: A group of persons ‘Baratis’ taking part in a marriage ceremony in Gram Palodipara Badesetti of Sukma district faced action by the district administration for violating corona protocol. It is on violating Covid-19 rules and regulations, a penalty of Rs 10000 was charged to the marriage family. Apart from this the vehicle in which the ‘baratis’ were travelling was also seized. In view of corona infection, the corona test of all the participants in the marriage function (Baratis) was also done and two were found to be positive. As per information in this regard, a marriage function was organised in Gram Palodipara without any administrative permission. In this more than 50 persons were participating and were travelling in two tractor-trolleys On getting information in this regard, as per instructions from the CEO Nutan Kanwar, Tehsildar Gadidas and Mahendra Lahare took necessary action. It is notable here that Collector Vineet Nandanvar has directed to follow strict instructions for covid-19 protocol in the programmes relate to marriage, final rites and others and has directed to hold programme only after seeking permission from SDM or Tehsildar and adhering to Covid-19 protocol during the programmes as well.
