Congress activists stage dharna against Modi Govt

Takhatpur, Jun 06: The continuous spike in prices of essential commodities has broken the backbone of common man. BJP government came to power seven years back with lots of promises for the common man but none of them were fulfilled and on the contrary spiralling prices of petroleum products, LPG and other essential commodities has taken the people for a ride, alleged Congress workers and in protest staged dharna on Saturday by following social distancing norms and COVID-19 protocol. Following the directives of CPCC, BCC Takhatpur workers staged dharna in front of their houses from 10 am to 12 noon. BCC Takhatpur president Ghanshyam Shivhare termed Modi government as a cheater as it came to power making false promises and it has deceived the people. Zilla Panchayat chairman Jitendra Pandey also staged dharna and also lambasted against the central government for its failures. Former MLA Jagjit Singh Makkad was also present at the dharna The prominent among others present were civic body chairman Mrs Pushpa MunnaShrivas, DCC GS Shivbalak Kaushik, Harvinder Singh Hura and others.
