Hello Friends Group organises Teej Milan

Bhilai, Sep 04: Hello Friends Group, an organisation of Brahmin women and girls in Bhilai-Durg area organized a Teej Milan ceremony in Hotel Veggie India, Civic Centre Bhilai with great enthusiasm and in traditional manner. Suresha Choubey (Additional SP) was the chief guest in this programme.
The celebration began with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony and offering of flowers and offering prayers to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati by the chief guest. At the outset the chief guest was welcomed with a plant giving the message towards protecting the environment.
The welcome address was given by Sunita Tiwari from the Hello Friends Group. The chief guest Suresha Choubey in her address congratulated all the Brahmin friends present to celebrate the occasion of Teej festival, and appreciated the continuous work being done by the members of Hello Friends in the direction of social unity and women empowerment.
Cultural programs were also organized by the “sakhis” and attractive gifts were also given to all the sakhis involved in this program. Sunita Tiwari, Poonam Mishra, Mamta Shukla, Meena Tiwari and Anju Shukla played an important role in making this program a success.
