Theft case solved within few hours

With the arrest of a ruffian and recovery of stolen booty, police claimed to have solved a theft incidence within few hours. ASP (City) Sanjay Dhruw informed that Pulgaon Police Station had received a complaint from Gajanand Sinha (71) regarding theft at his house located in village Khursul. The old man had locked the house and had gone to sleep in his another house situated nearby. At midnight, he found that the lights of the locked house were switched on. He went there with his family members and found the door lock was broken and the household scattered. Rs 12000 cash and ornaments worth 87000 were stolen. On information, team of Pulgaon Police Station reached the spot and suspects were quizzed. During sustained interrogation, one of the suspects confessed to have committed the crime. stolen booty worth Rs 83720 was recovered from his possession. The accused identified as Shiv Kumar Gind (24) son of Mannu Lal Gond a resident of village Khursul has been booked under the provisions mentioned in section 457, 380 of IPC. SI Domar Sahu, ASI Harish Sahu, Constables Gajendra Yadav, Harish Sinha, Preetam Singh and Mukesh Chandrakar played vital role in arresting the accused.
