BJPians ransack house of RSS leader in Smriti Nagar

Bhilai, Feb 21: Internal disputes in the local unit of Bharatiya Janata Party once again came into light when the supporters of a particular group attacked the house of a RSS leader in Smriti Nagar.
The victim is a renowned medical practitioner and is a senior worker of BJP and RSS. Those who created scene at the house of this BJP leader are the supporters of another group of BJP. The victim Doctor alleged that more than 100 youths and women ransacked his house and used abusive words for him.
Later, the victim tried to lodge a complaint at Smriti Nagar Police Station but FIR was not lodged. Demanding immediate action, younger brother of BJP MP Vijay Baghel staged dharna at the entrance of Smriti Nagar Police Chowki.
According to information, the incidence was the outcome of a facebook post made by the victim Dr Deep Chatterjee. In his post, Deep Chatterjee had stated that the monetary contributions made to BJP are called as Samarpan Nidhi. He added that there is an organisation called ‘Shahi Dussehra’ in Bhilai which takes ‘chanda’.
In this manner, he alleged this organisation for generating funds in an unfair manner. This samiti is led by Charulata Pandey, who is the relative of an influential BJP leader of the district.
Irked with this facebook post, she alongwith large number of supporters reached Dr Deep Chatterjee’s house and allegedly abused Chatterjee’s daughter and wife. They used abusive words and ransacked the flower pots and other items in the house. She alleged that the Doctor has insulted the women and uses abusive words for women. Dr Chatterjee immediately called the cops after which the tension was diffused and the mob returned back.
Later, Dr Chatterjee reached Smriti Nagar Chowki to lodge a FIR but the cops reportedly did not lodge FIR immediately and asked him to give a written complaint. In the meanwhile, MP Vijay Bahgel’s younger brother Sanjay Baghel accompanied with BJP workers reached Smriti Nagar Chowki in support of Dr Deep Chatterjee.
Sanjay sat on dharna at the entrance of Smriti Nagar Chowki demanding to lodge an FIR immediately and take action against the people who attacked at the residence of Dr Chatterjee.
