Flyover construction creates trouble for shopkeepers

Bhilai, Aug 27: The shopkeepers are highly troubled with the dust emerging from the flyover construction sites as well as traffic congestions on National Highway. Aam Aadmi Party team accompanied with the traders of Mahatma Gandhi Market (Power House) met the DSP (Traffic) at his office in Nehru Nagar and discussed their problems with him.
They submitted a memorandum narrating the woes of the shopkeepers who own establishments on the roadsides near the flyover construction sites between Supela to Tatibandh. The shopkeepers stated that they are suffering a lot due to the pollution created from the dust emerging from the roads and construction sites.
The ongoing construction work is not only creating pollution but has also affected their business to great extent. Due to dust and pollution, the footfall of customers has also decreased to great extent. It was the responsibility of the construction company to save the public from dust, pollution.
They should have ensured frequent water sprinkling and other measures but they have left the people to suffer. The side roads exist in bad shape due to which the commuters are facing lot of difficulty. They requested the DSP (Traffic) for taking appropriate action to resolve the problem. Later the delegation of shopkeepers met the Corporation Commissioner. He has instructed the Zone Commissioner to take action. The shopkeepers have made up their mind to stage dharna if the problem is not resolved.
Meherban Singh, K Jyoti, Adi Narayan, Balwinder, Satish Dahte, Santosh Harcharan, Jaspreet, Nityapraksh, Chandra Shekhar Sadia, Shashibhushan, Kulbir, Rekhi, Pandey, Kamal, Jaspreet, Chhotu Mistry,Sanjeev, Bharat, Gupta and others were present.
