Ferro Scrap Corporation Limited celebrates Hindi Divas

Bhilai, Sep 15: As per the guidelines of the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Official Language and as per the instructions of the Ministry of Steel, Ferro Scrap Nigam Limited observed Hindi Divas at the mini auditorium in the presence of Chief Guest, Chief General Manager (Finance and Accounts) Shatdal Mitra and special guests Prabhakar Singh Thakur, Deputy General Manager (Vigilance), Suvikas Biswas, Assistant General Manager (Operation and Maintenance) and all the Heads of Departments.
At the outset, the guests offered prayers by lighting of the lamp, garlanding the portrait of Maa Saraswati. Thereafter, the Chief Guest and special guests administered “Rajbhasha Pledge” to all the officers/employees to mark the occasion of Hindi Divas which made obligatory to discharge the obligations under the Constitution. The message/appeal by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Steel Minister Ramchandra Prasad Singh, Minister of State for Steel Faggan Singh Kulaste, Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai, FSNL Chairman and Managing Director Surendra Kumar Gupta was read out. A Hindi Knowledge competition was organized for all the officers/employees of FSNL in which all the officers/staff enthusiastically participated. Expressing his pleasure, the Chief Guest Shatdal Mitra said that language is a symbol of the pride of the nation. Language itself is great and alive, it does not rest on anyone’s shelter. He further said that Hindi is also such a timeless public language on the world stage and the official language of India.
As special guest, Prabhakar Singh Thakur said that- “Our constitution makers declared Hindi as the official language on September 14, 1949 and made various important provisions regarding Hindi in the constitution.” He further said that Hindi is our identity, it is a symbol of national pride. Special guest Saraswat and Suvikas Biswas, also addressed the gathering and they described Hindi as a powerful medium of expression. Manish Thakur conducted the programme and expressed vote of thanks.
