Durg Police organises felicitation, awareness prog

Bhilai, Mar 15: Durg District Police organised women felicitation programme and awareness programme at ‘SairSapata’ event at Dussehra Ground in Risali. Home Minister TamradhwajSahu was specially present on the occasion. This event was organised under the Chhattisgarh Police’s week longprogramme “Abhivyakti – Nari Ke Samman Ki”.
Female cops conducted awareness programme and detailed the women about the precautions to be taken to avoid chain snatching and other crimes during morning and evening walk, etc. Pamphlets were distributed to spread awareness against cyber related crimes and crimes against women. Home Minister appreciated the working of Durg Police. At the outset, common people were appraised about women respect, safety and other issues. They were explained about crimes against women and children as well as the measures to prevent such incidents. About 1500 people were present in the programme. Many of them shared their views in the programme. SP Prashant Thakur, ASP (Rural) PraggyaMeshram, DSP Dr Chitra Verma, CSP Rakesh Joshi, Inspector Bhavesh Sao and other police officers / personnel were present.
