Durg Mayor inspects schools prior to scheduled opening

Bhilai, Jul 29: After the state government announcement of the open the schools from August 02, Durg Mayor Dheeraj Bakliwal on Thursday visited the Government Secondary School premises located at Ward 60 Katulbord and took stock of the arrangements as the schools be it government or private will start teaching from August 2.
The Mayor appealed to the parents, to prepare the children with covid appropriate behaviour before sending them to school. He requested the parents to arm the children up a bottle of sanitizer and a mask. All preparations have been completed to open the school as per the guidelines.
All the guidelines are being followed for the safety of the children in the class, and arrangements have been made for 50 percent seating capacity. The Mayor said that the school managers would make separate arrangements for entry and exit gates for the children. Social distancing norms will be followed and sanitizer will be available in the class room. All students would strictly follow the covid appropriate behaviour and come to school wearing masks.
The Mayor said that instructions have been given for special cleaning of toilets in the school premises. For the safety of the students, all toilets in the school should be cleaned every hour. The classes will be sanitized before and after the classes of the students.
During inspection the Mayor was accompanied by Ward Councilor and General Administration Department in-charge Jayshree Joshi, Health Department in-charge Hameed Khokhar, Councilor Shivendra Parihar, Alderman Ratna Narmdev, Assistant Engineer VP Mishra, Nikhil Khicharia, Ajay Mishra, Raj Kumar Pali, Sanitary inspector Rajendra Sarate, Mayub Ali, Amol Jain, Karan Karosia, besides the team of Health Department and others.
