Proclaimed offender held with sharp weapon

Bhilai, Mar 13: Police have arrested a 24-year-old proclaimed offender and has initiated proceedings for restricting his stay in the district. In the last one month, the accused committed several offences in Bhilai Nagar area. He threatened many people with sharp weapon and looted valuables from them. The accused was trying to establish his terror in the city.
The accused is identified as Roshan Starley (24) son of CS Starley a resident of Plot 14, Street 03, Kripal Nagar, Kohka. ASP (City) Rohit Jha informed that they are making sustained efforts for maintaining law and order and peace in the district. In this sequel, action is being taken against habitual offenders, troublemakers and miscreants.
In the last one month, police had received five complaints against the accused Roshan Starley. He threatened people with sharp weapon, looted and abused them. Taking the matter into serious cognizance, police was constantly tracing his whereabouts to arrest him.
On March 11, police received a tip off that Roshan Starley was threatening people with a sharp weapon near Jayanti Stadium. Police team immediately swung into action and the accused was taken in custody.
Five criminal offences are lodged against him in different police stations of the city. Police recovered three sharp weapons and looted aadhar cards from his possession. He was produced before the court and District Police has initiated proceedings to restrict his stay in the
district.
