DIYA holds 1551th Divine Workshop

Bhilai, Dec 18: Divine India Youth Association (DIYA) Chhattisgarh organized the 1551th Divine Workshop recently at DAV Model College, Durg. More than 150 students of B.Ed, who are going to become teachers in future, participated in the workshop. DIYA Chhattisgarh Province Coordinator Dr PL Sao, Co-convener Dr Yogendra Kumar and Engineer Yugal Kishore were the key speakers of the workshop.
The theme of the workshop was the role of teacher in nation building. In his address, Dr PL Sao said that the teachers always remain young, because they have the power to do something good and give the right direction to the society. Teachers are the foundation stone of society and nation. Addressing the students, Dr Yogendra Kumar explained the difference between education and learning.
He said that a teacher remains a teacher till there is creativity within him. He further explained the eleven formulae of success in life and asserted that self satisfaction is the greatest joy of life. Engineer Yugal Kishore explained the special importance of sacrifice for the teacher and the student. Speaking about the Gurukul tradition of learning, he said that the student leaves his home and the guru also imparts education by following the same routine.
In today’s environment also the teachers should always keep refining their personality. The programme was conducted by Sitendra. The vote of thanks was proposed by BEd in-charge and Assistant Professor Usha Sahu. Members of the Management Committee Vineet Bansal, Santosh Sharma, Vineet Srivastava, Principal Dr Saroj Baghel, Jyoti Singh and other teachers including Damini Sahu, Priyanka Mishra, Shan Vijay and others made significant contributions in making the event a grand success.
