Five ruffians held for brawl at Khursipar

Police have arrested five ruffians on charges of attacking common people after brawl broke out between two groups at Bapu Nagar in Khursipar. The accused created a terrifying situation in the locality as they unnecessarily abused the common people also. Police are searching other ruffians who were involved in this incidence.
ASP (City) Sanjay Kumar Dhruw informed that the incidence occurred late evening on June 13 at Street No 27, Bapu Nagar, Zone 2, Khursipar. The accused created fierce ruckus over some old rivalry. The accused unnecessarily abused Ajay Kaushik and Sushil Bharti who were returning from work. They suffered serious injuries in head and other parts of the body. The accused created a terrifying situation in the locality after which local informed the police about the incidence. Police team rushed to the spot and found that another group was ready to attack the former group. The attackers had escaped from the spot. As a precautionary measure, the group of boys found at the spot was taken in custody and brought to the police station. On the other hand, police launched operations to search the attackers. During investigation, it was discovered that the group of ruffians which attacked the common people and created tense situation was led by one Tasavwur Khan alias Chhotu alias Natwar (21) of Gautam Nagar. He was accompanied by Sachin Verma (19) of Azad Nagar Sector 11 Khursipar; Saqeel Mohammad (20) of Gautam Nagar Khursipar and other eight – ten boys. On the complaint of the victims, a case was lodged under sections 147, 148, 149, 294, 324, 506 of IPC and sections 294, 323, 506, 34 of IPC. After sustained efforts, police managed to trap the main accused Tasawwur Khan and his accomplices Mohammad Shakeel, Sachin Verma, Rahul Sahu, Naved Hussain. Other accused are absconding. On the basis of the medical report of the victim, the accused were duly arrested by adding section 307 IPC and 25, 27 Arms Act. They were produced before the court and have been sent to jail on judicial remand.
