SP explains significance of CCTNS database

Bhilai, Jul 25: On Sunday, Superintendent of Police (Durg) Prashant Agrawal chaired a review meeting of CCTNS operators for the purpose of resolving various problems including hardware/software, network connectivity problems, their maintenance, etc.
He shared necessary information received from Police Headquarters, Raipur for the operations of CCTNS project. More than 35 CCTNS operators of the district who are positioned in the police stations / chowkis attended the meeting at the Police Control Room, Sector 6.
SP gave a patient hearing to the problems faced by all the CCTNS operators in the police stations and gave necessary instructions for resolving the issues.
CCTNS operators were given important information regarding the usefulness of the database apart from routine entries. To ensure the success of the project, he asked them to conduct CCTNS data entry and non-FIR on the same day in compliance with the orders issued by the Police Headquarters. SP directed them to make entries of other forms in the police station on the same day itself. Clear instructions were given to compulsorily fill all the forms of crime details in the work under the CCTNS scheme. The CCTNS operators working in the police stations were instructed to extend all possible help to the victims of cyber fraud.
Information was given to the CCTNS operators regarding cyber fraud helpline number 155260 and web portal. All the station in-charges were directed to make the personnel working in the police stations aware by providing them training on cyber crimes at least once a week. Necessary instructions were given to Cyber Cell in-charge to organize workshops on cyber fraud.
Additional Superintendent of Police (City) Sanjay Dhruv, Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) Ananth Kumar, City Superintendent of Police (Bhilai Nagar) Rakesh Joshi, Cyber Cell i/c Inspector Gaurav Tiwari, Reserve Inspector Nilesh Dwivedi, Subedar Tripti Singh and others were present.
