Corona Warriors felicitated at District Hospital
Bhilai, Feb 26:
Under the auspices of Satyam SikshanevamJanvikas Samiti, the Corona Warriors whose efforts contributed in the prevention and control of Covid infection during the pandemic were felicitated at a function in the district hospital campus on Friday. Ashish Verma, OSD, Chief Minister felicitated the Corona Warriors. In his address Verma said that the Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel was the first to take necessary measures in the state of Chhattisgarh to prevent and control the spread of Covid-19. Along with this, he also kept in mind that during the lockdown people continue to get essential things. People from any section of the society should continue to get basic facilities. Verma added that concrete arrangements were made in the health sector also. Officer-employees of the Health Department did very well as Corona Warriors.
CMHO Dr Gambhir Singh Thakur on his part said that the Corona Warriors worked day and night in the district hospital and contributed to controlling Covid infection in the district by discharging their responsibilities. They are also playing an effective role in the vaccination program.
Civil Surgeon Dr P Balkishore gave a detailed description on the achievements of the district hospital during Covid period. He said that even in Covid period, physicians and health staff served the patients with full courage, which was a unique achievement. He also briefed about the construction works and innovations undertaken in the district hospital. He said that with the cooperation of all, the District Hospital is constantly moving towards providing excellent health services to the patients.
The Corona Warriors were honoured with citation. The President of the committee Sitaram Thakur was present on the occasion. Dilip Thakur, member of Jeevandeep Committee, RMO Dr Akhilesh Yadav, Ashok Sahu Vice President, District Panchayat Durg; Vinod Verma, Devesh Chandrakar, RupchandSahuJanpad Member, Rajesh Thakur, Kamlesh Netam, Tushar Kamde, Dr VY Yadav Director VY Hospital Durg and other officials were present.
