Collector inspects Supela Government Hospital

Bhilai, Sep 11: Collector Dr Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure visited Lal Bahadur Shastri Government Hospital in Supela on Saturday. Earlier, he had given instructions for up-gradation in the hospital and for making preparations in view of the possibility of third wave of Coronavirus Pandemic. Collector reached here to examine the progress.
Here, an oxygen plant has been installed and the renovation work of the hospital is also in progress. Isolation ward is to be established here. Collector also took information from the hospital management regarding OPD.
He said that Supela Hospital is located in the most densely populated area of Bhilai and has maximum number of OPDs. Considering the situation, he instructed to ensure special monitoring of the services.
According to OPD footfall, Collector instructed the hospital management to keep reviewing for the requirement of staff and doctors. They must inform the District Administration for any special needs.
He assured to fulfil the requirements by providing approval from DMF and other funds. He said that one of the most basic priorities of the hospital administration is taking feedback from the people so that continuous work can be done for improvement.
He inspected the ongoing upgradation work in the hospital. Along with getting these works done according to the prescribed criteria, he asked to pay attention to cleanliness at regular intervals.
Collector expressed displeasure over the cleanliness being done in the hospital during his arrival and said that this work should be done in the morning. He saw the under construction work of false ceiling and expressed dissatisfaction over it and instructed to conduct this work with better quality. He also saw the marked site for the new isolation ward going to be built in the hospital premises.
He instructed to ensure all necessary arrangements in the isolation ward. Collector also visited the oxygen plant set up in the hospital. He said that it would prove to be very helpful for the needy people.
It is noteworthy that after the district hospital, the maximum number of OPD visits is recorded in Supela Hospital. For better arrangements at this hospital, Collector has made arrangements for the renovation of the hospital through DMF.
There was a lot of seepage problem in the upper floor due to which a major portion of the hospital building remained unused. The seepage has been repaired this season. Along with this, the seating plan of the hospital was also changed for proper use of space. During the second wave of corona, patients with respiratory problems were admitted here.
