Gayatri Jayanti is the birthday of Maa Gayatri, the goddess of knowledge and wisdom. Similarly, on this day, Ganga descended from heaven to earth.
Just like Ganga irrigates the land, removes the cravings of living beings, removes filthiness and gives peace, gives salvation, the same characteristics are of Maa Gayatri in the spiritual field. Today the whole world is suffering with sins. For eliminating the sufferings of mankind, the awakened souls have to play the role of Bhagirath. When the great personalities will imbibe this new age of knowledge in their heads, the flow of spirituality will move forward.
