Tamradhwaj performs bhumipujan for development works

Bhilai, June 07: After its constitution, Risali Municipal Corporation has already conducted development works to the tune of over Rs 50 crore. Considering the requirements and public demands, several new projects have been approved. Home Minister and local MLA Tamradhwaj Sahu performed bhoomipujan for these development works on Monday.
Rs 4 crore will be spent on these projects of public importance. Out of this amount, Rs 79.08 lakh will be used for development work Maroda Sector; Rs 185.50 lakh in Risali Sector Wards and 138.91 lakh will be spent on development projects in Risali Basti and surrounding areas. It is noteworthy that on June 3, Minister Sahu has performed bhoomipujan for projects worth Rs 3.67 crores.
Home Minister performed bhoomipujan near Gayatri Mandir at Risali Basti, in front of Risali Sector Steel Club and at Maroda Sector Market. While discussing the matter with party workers, aldermen and office bearers of the Block Congress Committee, Minister Sahu said that he had not made any announcement about these works.
Rather, these projects have been approved on the basis of demands raised by the common people during his visits in the area. All the works are directly related to the citizens. He said that more projects have been approved in Risali Corporation. After completion of official formalities, works on these projects will be launched with bhoomipujan.
Bhilai District Congress Committee President Tulsi Sahu, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Prakash Kumar Sarwe, PCC General Secretary Jitendra Sahu, Brijmohan Singh, Block President Mukund Bhau, Alderman Sangeeta Singh, Vilas Rao Borkar, Domar Deshmukh, Kirtilata Verma, Premchand Sahu , Anup Dey, Tarun Banjare, ex-councillors Keshav Banchor, Rajendra Rajak, Chandrabhan Thakur and congress leaders Rakesh Mishra, Zaheer Abbas, Anita Sahu and others were present.
Considering the problem of dirty water in the wards of Risali that come under Bhilai Township, Home Minister had directed to install water ATMs in Maroda sector, Risali sector and Ruabandha sector. More than Rs 20 lakhs will be spent by the corporation for this work.
HM performed bhoomipujan for 46 different works which include road repair, construction of drain, Mangal Bhawan, stage, sports ground at Risali Dussehra ground and installation of paver blocks in Sai Mandir and Risali Masjid premises.
