Classrooms & Boundary Wall in Village Dhaurabhata dedicated to public

Bhilai, Aug 26: As part of SAIL-Bhilai Steel Plant’s Corporate Environment Responsibility (CER), construction of School Class Room and Boundary Wall in Model Steel Villages have been undertaken by the Plant’s CSR Dept. As announced earlier in a village public hearing, construction of two Classrooms in Govt High School at a cost of Rs 7.75 lakh and Boundary Wall in the same school at a cost of Rs 10 lakh has been completed in one such village – Dhaurabhata.
A function was organised in Dhaurabhata village on August 25, 2021 wherein the newly constructed classrooms and boundary wall was formally handed over to the village heads by the chief guest DN Karan, CGM (Finance & Accounts), Bhilai Steel Plant in presence of Sheorajan Nair, GM, CSR. Addressing the gathering, Karan said SAIL- Bhilai Steel Plant has always believed in sharing the fruits of progress with residents in peripheral areas. As such, BSP has been keen on contributing in the area of basic rural infrastructure in the Model Steel Villages. Residents of these villages must take care about the upkeep of these assets, he added. Present on the occasion were village Sarpanch, Mehtarin Bai Shivhare, Gram Sachiv Mahendra Kumar Sahu, Dy Sarpanch Rajeshwari Chandrakar, School Principal, GL Sahare, President of School Committee, Johan Sahu. The programme for handing over the classrooms and boundary wall of school was compered by Rajni Rajak. Also present on the occasion were officers and members of CSR Dept, Environment Mgt Dept and Town Services Dept including Sunil Chaurasia, Anuradha, Anita Shrikumar, KK Verma, Fazal, Budhe Lal. Representatives of Village Panchayat including Panch, schoolteachers were also present. Village Sarpanch and villagers expressed gratitude for the new facilities constructed by Bhilai Steel Plant.
