Safety Week 2021 celebrated in CR&M (Mech)

Bhilai, Mar 07: Safety week was observed in SAIL-BSP’s CRM (M) department during the period February 26, 2021 to March 02, 2021. The inauguration function was graced by SK Katariya CGM (Mech), SK Gajbhiye CGM(MECH) along with other guests on February 26.
In the inauguration function, the safety flag was hoisted and safety oath was administered to all the assembled employees. Verghese P John, GM (CRM-M) and other senior officers were present on the occasion. Safety quiz was organised and the winners were rewarded with immediate prizes.
During the week, the employees were apprised with the safety awareness programs like Gas Safetyand Fire Safety & Fire extinguishers. Safety based competitions were organised like Safety Poems,Safety slogans and safety essay. The regular employees and PRW”s from the department participated in these contests in large numbers with enthusiasm and creative approach.
The concluding function of the Safety Awareness Week was celebrated on March 02. During the function the Chief Guest SK Katariya (CGM-Mech) , GP Singh (Acting CGM-Sed& Fire Services), Vansh Bahadur Singh(DyGeneral Secretary Intuc Union), and Verghese P John, GM (CRM-MECH) addressed the employees with their views on safety and its importance in the day to day working. Special emphasis was given on Behaviour Based Safety and achievement of zero accident.
The prizes were distributed to the winners of the different contests, Shri Kheelawan, Rama Rao, PR Patel, Ram kumar& Tata Rao bagged the prizes in safety poem, safety slogans & safety essay contests. Special prizes were given to Devesh kumar, Nalin Bhai Patel & S Bagchi for their contribution in creating safety awareness.
The safety awareness week was organised by the department with co-ordination of planning group headed by Anil Bhave, DSO (CRM-MECH).
