Bhilai, Sep 26: The task of the government is to create an environment free of fear for every citizen including the traders. Some traders from Bhilai had complained against some police officers who were putting undue pressure on them. When merits were found in the allegations, immediate action was taken against the officer, said Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel while addressing Agrasen Jayanti celebrations in Agrasen Bhavan, Sector 6 on Monday.
In his address, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel exchanged Agrasen Jayanti greetings with the members of Agrawal Samaj. Referring to the contribution of Maharaja Agrasen, CM said that he used to lay emphasis on trade and construction. The ancestors of Agrawals had the responsibility of looking after the supplies of Pandavas in the battle of Kurukshetra. Gandhiji was also from this Samaj and he spent his whole life with truth and non-violence. CM asked the members of Samaj to do business without fear. If anyone creates undue troubles, the government will take action.
The Chief Minister said that people from the business community had approached him and asked that he did something for all classes but what was done for traders? CM said that he explained to the traders that when money comes to the farmer in the village, the farmers visit the market and spend money in purchasing. In this manner, the money comes to the markets and benefits the traders. The Chief Minister said that the instalments of Kisan Nyay Yojna received by the farmers from time to time come in the market and eventually the traders also become prosperous.
The government has decided to provide another instalment to farmers on October 15 so that the farmers also have a good Diwali. This will benefit the traders as well.
