Bhilai, Jul 12: A 32-year-old youth of Supela had made a complaint to the SP of Durg regarding forgery of more than Rs 24 lakhs through a business deal. Even after three years, the victim is still waiting for justice.
As there is alleged involvement of some political leaders in this case, AAP has intervened and is going to launch struggle. On Monday, the victim accompanied by the leaders of Aam Admi Party addressed a press conference and said that the alleged fraudsters have used the address and telephone number of a political leader in the documents provided to the victim. They had even convinced the victim that he is going to become a partner in the firm of the minister.
The victim Md Kasif of Ward 7 Supela informed that one Md Israfil convinced him to invest and become a partner in a firm Mahanadi Minerals which has office in Babla Complex, Raipur. The victim was informed that the other of the firm is an MLA of Chhattisgarh state. On August 30, 2014, the victim paid Rs 5 lakh through cheque and Rs 2.40 lakhs cash and signed an agreement.
After about two months, Md Israfil and his son Md Shadab again contacted the victim and informed him that there is requirement of Hyva Tipper in their crusher plant and they are ready to pay Rs 1.20 lakh monthly rent for the vehicle. The victim agreed to give his vehicle and they signed an agreement again with the firm Mahanadi Minerals, Raipur.
The victim was assured that the investment in the partnership form will be returned in the year 2015 and was provided two cheques. These cheques were dishonoured, he asserted.
On the other hand, he was not paid the rent of the Hyva Truck for 14 months. The total rent of the vehicle sums up to Rs 16.80 lakh. In this manner, he was duped of Rs 24.20 lakh in context of trade.
The victim Md Kasif and AAP District President Meharban Singh said that the police must investigate whether Mahanadi Minerals is a genuine firm of some shell company. Further, they must also investigate whether the then MLA and present Cabinet Minister has some involvement in this company or the accused have just utilised his name to commit forgery.
They further demanded that the police must investigate the place and purpose where the vehicle was used for 14 months and examine the firm’s bank accounts and its operators. AAP has planned for a phased struggle to win justice for the victim. AAP office bearers K Jyoti, Jaspreet and Satish Dahate were also present.
