Cannabis peddler arrested

Bhilai, Jul 14: Police have arrested a ruffian on charges of peddling of cannabis. It needs to be mentioned here that on the instructions of SP Prashant Agrawal, a special operation is being conducted against the people involved in trade of narcotics and other intoxicants.
In this sequel, Vaishali Nagar Police Team conducted a raid near Ram Nagar Muktidham and rounded up an accused with cannabis. The accused had hidden the cannabis in a bucket.
1.20 kg cannabis worth Rs 15500 was seized from the accused identified as Vicky (22) son of Labh Singh a resident of Vrinda Nagar, PS Vaishali Nagar. His elder brother Kuldeep alias Kalle was also arrested with cannabis three days ago.
The accused has been booked under the provisions mentioned in Section 20 (b) of NDPS Act. SI Mordhwaj Deshmukh, SI Kamla Yadav, Constables Aavesh, Hemant and Gagandeep Giri played vital role in arresting the accused.
