Boxing Federation empanels Olympian Boxer & Arjun Awardee Rajendra Prasad

Bhilai, Sep 20: Olympian Boxer & recipient of the prestigious Arjun Award Rajendra Prasad has been selected by Boxing Federation of India to officiate as Member of Selection Committee for selection of elite men boxers for the National Boxing Coaching Camp. Rajendra Prasad is Dy General Manager in SAIL-Bhilai Steel Plant’s Sports, Cultural & Civic Amenities Department.
Boxing Federation of India that is organising 5th Elite Men’s National Boxing Championship at Inspire Institute of Sports, Bellary from September 15-21, 2021.
Immediately after the Championship, there will be a Selection Trial September 22 to 24, 2021 for selecting boxers for the National Coaching Camp.
In a letter requesting Bhilai Steel Plant to release Rajendra Prasad for the Selection Trials period, Director (Admin), Boxing Federation of India has stated that reputed boxing experts would be on the panel of jury for election trials.
The letter goes on to say that as a boxer of eminence who has been associated with boxing activities for many years in a constructive way, Rajendra Prasad has been nominated as Member of Selection Committee for the Selection Trials.
