HM inspects crime scene; opposition asserts cold blooded homicides

Bhilai, Mar 08: On Monday, village Bathena became the prime subject of politics in the state with the team of opposition MLAs visiting here and asserting the incidence to be cold blooded homicides. A senior BJP leader even alleged that all efforts are being made to covert this sensational murder of five members of a family to a simple suicide case. Earlier on the day, Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu visited the crime scene in Bathena of Patan Police Station jurisdiction. He directed senior officials of the police department to leave no stone unturned in the investigation. Minister Sahu inspected the room of the house where the male members of the family were found hanging. Then he moved to the spot in the fields where the skeletal remains of the three female members were reportedly found in the heap of ashes. He was accompanied by Superintendent of Police (Durg) Prashant Thakur and other officers. He has ordered an investigation into the incident by constituting an intelligence team. He also spoke to IG (Intelligence) in this regard. Home Minister observed each spot carefully and questioned the officers in this regard.
