Devsnan Poornima rituals completed in Shri Jagannath Temple Sector-4

Bhilai, Jun 24: This year also Jagannath Samiti is going to celebrate the 52nd Rath Yatra Festival 2021 of Shri Jagannath Mahaprabhu ji in the Shri Jagannath Temple Sector-4. As the first episode of the Rath Yatra, the religious event of Devasan Purnima concluded on Thursday following the Corona protocol at Shri Jagannath Temple Sector-4.
As part of this event, Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath ji was taken out of the sanctum sanctorum and brought to the temporarily built Dev Snan Mandap inside the temple. Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath Swami ji, elder brother Bhagwan Shri Balabhadra Dev ji, and sister Mata Subhadra ji were bathed with fragrant water with all the rituals in the Dev Snan Mandap.
This religious worship of Dev Snan was performed by priests Shri Pitwas Padhi and Pandit Shri Nilachal Das and Ranjan Mohapatra and Vikram Padhi with all the rituals. After bathing, Mahaprabhu was adorned in the form of ” Gajraj Bhesh”. Due to Mahaprabhu falling ill after taking a bath, he was placed in “Ansar Griha” for rest. The doors of the temple of Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath ji will remain closed from today till the “Netrao-utsav” festival. Various herbs and divine medicines will be offered to Mahaprabhu during this period.
“Netrao-utsav” will be organized on July 09. After that the doors of the temple of Mahaprabhu will be opened for darshan. After this, keeping in view the corona protocol, the Rath-yatra will be on July 12 in the Shri Jagannath temple complex located in Sector-4 itself. To make this holy festival of Dev Snan a success, Jagannath Committee President Virendra Satpathy, General Secretary Satyawan Nayak, Brindavan Swain, BC Biswal, Bhim Swain, SC Patro, Basant Pradhan, along with the office bearers of the committee, Anam Nahak, D Trinath, Sushant Satpathy, Kalu Behera, Trinath Sahu, Prakash Swain, Bisi Kesan Sahu, Niranjan Maharana, Kavi Biswal, Santosh Dalai, Ramesh Kumar Nayak, Seemanchal Behera, Sudarshan Shanti, Shankar Dalai, S Dakua made special contributions. On this occasion, following the Corona protocol, the event was restricted to the priests and their associates.
