Acting CJ PK Mishra launches ‘Nyay Aapke Dwar’

Bilaspur, Sep 17: As per instructions from National Legal Service Authority (NLAS), the Chhattisgarh State Legal Service Authority (SLSA) inaguruated ‘Nyay Janta ke Dwar’ all over the state here on Friday. Starting this campaign, two legal-aid clinic buses were flagged off by the Acting Chief Justice PK Mishra of Chhattisgarh High Court along with all other judges of the Chhattisgarh High Court. This van would reach remote areas of all the districts and create awarness among the people about law and justice.
Highlighting on the objective of this campaign, Chief Justice HC Justice Mishra informed that the judiciary department of the GoI is launching this special campaign from today. It’s objective is to create public awareness about law & justice and make them conscious about their rights. It is through short-film the illiterate people too will be given information about law and justice and other information about legal matters, so that by getting aware of their rights, should go to court in order to get justice and motivate other also, so that they can raise voice against any kind of opression, atrocities and strengthen the country.
Apart from High Court premises, one legal aid clinic was also departed from each District.
On this occasion Justice MM Shrivastava, Justice Gautam Bhaduri, Justice Sanjay K Agrawal, Justice P Sam Koshi, Justice RCS Samant, Justice PP Sahu, Justice Vimla Singh Kapoor, Justice NK Vyas, Justice NK Chandravanshi, High Court’s Registrar General Deepak Tiwari, Member secretary SLSA Siddharth Agrawal and other officers from Registry department were present.
Legal-aid-clinic to reaech 100 villages:
The Legal-aid-Clinic buses will visit at least 100 villages and create public awareness related to law, judiciary and legal matters. The team in these buses will go to ‘Haat-Bazar’ and other public places and display short-film related for legal awareness. During more than 100 camps, the people concerned will be given information about all important laws which is essential for healthy society. This include subjects like ‘good touch-bad touch’; rights of children staying in hostels, inspiration to take part in sports; warn them about cyber crime and create awareness about cyber laws. Apart from this they will also be given information about laws and punishment related to drink-and-drive cases; laws related to ban on determination of sex; seriousness of POCSO Act; Rights of women at work place and rights about equal wages and other such news.
In addition to this the people will also be given information about Lok Adalats organised for disposal of cases based upon mutual consent and about legal assistance and would make an appeal to people to avail benefit of Lok Adalat camps. At Gram level, under ‘Hamar Aangna Yojana’, information of laws about domestic violence will be given. Awareness will also be created about Article 51 under ‘Kartavya Abhiyan’.
