BRM, SMS 3 & RMP 3 record new highs in performance

Bhilai, Dec 22: SAIL-Bhilai Steel Plant’s Modex unit, Bar & Rod Mill (BRM) recorded its highest day rolling of 1100 Billets in TMT 10 section on December 19, 2021, surpassing previous best of 1080 Billets in same TMT 10 section recorded on October 27, 2021.
Another Modex Unit, Steel Melting Shop 3 (SMS 3) also recorded a new high with its Caster 2 achieving longest sequence of 101 heats with 4 flying tundish in operation on December 20, 2021.
Refractory Materials Plant 3, another Modex units also recorded a hat-trick by producing 450 T of lime from its Kiln -5 on December 17, 18 and 19, 2021. RMP 3 also produced 450 T of lime simultaneously from both Kiln-3 & Kiln for the first time on Dec 21, 2021.
Director I/c BSP and senior officers have congratulated Team BRM, Team SMS 3, Team RMP 3 and their associated departments for the record performances.
