Three IEDs unearthed; radio set recovered

Bhilai, Feb 22: Border Security Force deployed in anti-naxal operations in Kanker district have foiled naxal bid to attack security forces with explosive devices. BSF spokesperson from Frontier Head Quarters Bhilai informed that the troops of 17th Battalion positioned in COB Amabeda unearthed three IEDs and a radio set from the jungles.
The troops were conducting routine combing operation when they detected the IEDs planted in the ground. The bombs weighing about three kilograms were planted at a distance of about 2.5 kilometers from the COB Amabeda. The Bomb Squad reached the spot and the neutralised the bombs.
The naxals had planted these bombs with the intention of attacking the security forces. But the BSF jawans foiled this naxal bid through their professional expertise and strategic working. AS Mallik (DIG; Acting IG, Special Operations, Chhattisgarh) has congratulated the BSF jawans on this achievement.
