Two Boxers from city selected in SPSB Team for National Championship

Bhilai, Sep 13: Two young boxers from Bhilai have been selected for Steel Plant Sports Board Team that would compete in the 5th Elite Senior National Boxing Championship to be held in Bellari, Karnataka from September 15 to 21, 2021. The two boxers representing Bhilai Steel Plant are Shouryajit Senapati in 51 kg category and A Samir in 57 kg category.
The SPSB team has two boxers each from Bhilai Steel Plant, Rourkela Steel Plant, Tata Steel and Viskhapatnam Steel Plant. Shouryajit Senapati and A Samir are scheduled to leave for Bellary on September 13, 2021.
Senior officers from the Plant including Srikant Ramaraju, DGM Director I/c Sectt), Rajendra Prasad, former Olympian boxer, Arjun Awardee and DGM in Plant’s Sports Dept, and Chudamani Thakur, Coach for BSP Team, Dhananjay Chaturvedi and all officials and players in boxing have wished the selected boxers the best.
