DAV Public School Bacheli celebrated Teacher’s Day

Bacheli, Sep 07: At the very outset on the auspicious occasion of Teacher’s Day, Hawan was conducted by the Principal- Dr.Chetna Sharma and her team in the school auditorium. The programme was led off with a prayer song by the CCA incharge Mrs. J. Shailaja. Thereafter, lighting of the lamp and garlanding the portrait of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan’s was done by the Principal. All teachers offered flowers on the portrait as a tribute to the great educationist, scholar and a popular teacher. In her welcome address, Dr. Chetna Sharma commemorated the great personality Dr.Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan with utmost devotion and she quoted that, “This day is observed to honour the bond between the Children and their mentors who influence their lives in several ways”. She added that, Dr. Radhakrishnan believed that true teachers are those who help us think for ourselves, so they should be the best minds in the nation. Then the cultural programme began which included various performances by various teachers like Ganesh Vandana by Mrs. Pushpa Sahu, Shayari by Mrs. Nadim Parveen, Duet song by Mr. Mukteshwar Singh and Mr. Umesh Das. Then to make the day more colourful, all the teachers under the able guidance of the Principal had a state-wise graceful walk on the song “Mile Sur Mera Tumhara…”. The programme continued with a lively Antakshari. A small token of love was given to all teachers by the Principal and the day ended very gracefully thanking the NMDC BACHELI Management for their timely kind support and appreciation.
