BMC making all efforts to meet criteria for top rank in SBM survey 2021

Bhilai, Feb 07: Bhilai Municipal Corporation administration is leaving no stone unturned to meet the improve the civic facilities to attain top ranks in the Cleanliness Survey 2021.For this, roads and drains in all areas under the Bhilai Municipal limits are being cleaned regularly. The top officials are also reaching the spots early in the morning to take stock of the sanitation work and giving directions to the employees, so that the city can be garbage free. Besides day cleaning, night cleaning has also beingstarted in the market area and public places. In order to maintain the cleanliness of the city, the employees of the corporation are also appealing to the shopkeepers, kiosks owners and road side food vendors to keep the dustbins in place compulsorily. In order to maintain proper sanitation in the corporation area, on the instructions of the corporation commissioner Rituraj Raghuvanshi, zone commissioners are visiting their respective areas in the mornings to intensify the cleanliness activities so that it reaches the small lanes and interior areas of the ward. They are supervising the cleaning of public toilets, taking stock of door-to-door waste in the prescribed time, cleaning of drains etc. The corporation’s teams are also taking punitive action against those who found spreading garbage despite repeated appeals to restrain. It is worth noting that the Corporation has already attained the status of ODF Plus Plus. Last year also Bhilai Municipal Corporation had received the best cleanliness award. This year too, corporation team and administration is ready to perform better. The work of eliminating the garbage point is being done. Polythene bags, foils etc scattered alongside the road is being lifted.
