Long list of candidates in fray

Mungeli, Sep 13: At one place where the political fever in city has heated up over cancellation of bail application by HC in famous drainage-scam, on the other, with long list of the candidates in fray for this post, once again there is possibility that one of the corporators from either party may get benefitted.
It is notable here that on disclosure of alleged involvement in ‘Nali Ghotala’ (drainage scam), the Nagar Palika President is reportedly absconding and the police is still in his search. On the other hand, the HC has cancelled his bail application as well and all this has put the President Nagar Palika Mungeli in jeopardy.
As per information in this regard, President Nagar Palika had to appear before the authority of the state government on Sept 13 and present his version and then what action will be taken against him is yet to be anticipated.
On the other hand, there is long list of candidates in fray for the post of Nagar Palika President and this include Hemendra Goswami, Arvind Vaishnav of Congress and few others and out of which Hemendra is one of the strong candidates.
At the same time there are two-three names coming from BJP’s side as well and seeing which the likely election of post of President in Nagar Palika could be interesting.
