FSNL conducts Hindi Essay Competition

Bhilai, Sep 04: In keeping with the directives of department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, and instructions of Ministry of Steel, an Hindi essay writing competition was organised as a part of the Rajbhasha Month (Official Language Month).
The officers and employees of FSNL Bhilai office participated in Hindi essay competition based on contribution of freedom fighters, role of Hindi in the freedom movement. Here it needs a mention that FSNL is the 75th anniversary of Independence Day as Amrit Mahotsav of India’s Independence, under which the theme of the essay during was – Meaning of freedom under the Constitution, The future of India, India of the 21st century, Nationalism etc.
The competition began at the Golden Jubilee Auditorium in the FSNl premises in the presence of Special Guest Seema Shrivastava, Assistant Superintendent, Indian Postal Department, Headquarters, Durg Division and Chief Guest Pankaj Tyagi.
The program started with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony and garlanding of the portrait of Maa Saraswati. Ashok Mishra, Saurabh Tharewal, Sunita Pandit welcomed the guests with flowers. Rajbhasha Officer Chhagan Lal Nagvanshi presented the outline of Hindi essay competition, rules, introduction of the jury and welcome speech.
Chief Guest, Pankaj Tyagi said that the art of essay writing is a creative skill, it can be imagination, or experience, or a reality of life, and very often a single meaningful line is enough to touch the heart, forcing the brain to think.
While wishing success to all the participants, he cautioned that essay writing should be in clear and legible letters, related subjective style, correctness of grammar and within the prescribed word limit and not to forget the prescribed time limit.
Special guest Seema Shrivastava while appreciating the commendable work being done by Ferro Scrap Nigam Limited in the direction of progressive use of official language Hindi said that FSNL is uninterruptedly discharging the statutory and constitutional obligations of the official language. Chhagan Lal Nagvanshi, the official language officer of the institute conducted the programme and the proposed the vote of thanks.
