Man stabs friend to death

Bhilai, Jun 13: Police have arrested a person on charges of stabbing his friend to death. Both of them were together boozing on Saturday evening. While consuming liquor, they entered into an argument over some illicit relationships after which one of them brutally murdered the second one with a sharp weapon. The accused has been taken into custody.
Police informed that on Sunday morning the body of a person was found lying in a pool of blood on the under construction road of New Life Farms situated behind Rishabh Market in village Kolihapuri.
Sarpanch Jwala Prasad Deshmukh and Salik Ram Sahu (Supervisor of Malay Jain’s New Life Farm) reached the spot and found that the deceased was Ajay Kumar Yadav, a resident of Kasarideeh, Durg.
He worked as a guard at the farm house of Suresh Kothari located in Kolihapuri. On information, a team of Pulgaon Police reached the spot and crime scene investigations were launched. Police found that he was brutally stabbed on the chest which supposedly resulted in his death.
FSL experts examined the crime scene and collected evidence. Sniffer dogs were pressed into service. The entire crime scene was photographed.
Police immediately questioned the locals and came to know that Ajay has a close friend Mohit Thakur, who also works as a guard in the farm house. On Saturday evening, they were seen together and often consumed liquor together. Police team searched Mohit Thakur and he was taken into custody. During interrogation, he confessed to have killed Ajay Yadav. He disclosed that on Saturday evening, they purchased liquor and were boozing together. In the meanwhile, they entered into an argument. The argument grew violent and Mohit stabbed Ajay to death. Later he escaped from the spot. Police have booked Mohit Thakur (33) son of Lakhan Thakur a resident of village Mundra, PS Ranchirai and present resident of New Life Farm under the provisions mentioned in section 302 of IPC.
Inspector Uttam Kumar Verma, SI Domar Sahu, ASI Narendra Singh Rajput, Dev Sharan Singh, Head Constable Shiv Kumar Tiwari, Constable Surendra Sahu, Siddharth Tiwari, Jagendra Yadav, Javed Khan, Paras Ram Sahu and Harish Sinha played vital role in solving
the case.
