Rajiv Yuva Mitan Clubs will be constituted in every gram panchayat: CM

Raipur, Oct 01: In the esteemed presence of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel as Chief Guest, Rajiv Yuva Mitan Club Chhattisgarh organized the first youth conference (Yuva Sammelan) at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium Raipur today. On this occasion, the talented youth of the state, who have brought laurels to the society, state and country by with their achievements in various fields, were also felicitated.
Chief Minister said that inspired by the vision of Ex-Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Late Shri Rajiv Gandhi, Chhattisgarh Government is working towards the development, empowerment and progress of youth in the state. We will realize the dream of ‘Gadbo Nava Chhattisgarh’ with the participation of youth. It is important to guide and channelize the ‘Yuva Shakti’ (power of youngsters) towards better opportunities of education and employment.
He said that Rajiv Yuva Mitan Club scheme has been started with the objective of connecting the youth of the state with creative works, to help them develop leadership skills and to make them aware of their social responsibilities. Under this scheme, 13 thousand 269 Rajiv Yuva Mitan Clubs will be formed in gram panchayats and urban bodies. Youth in the age group of 15 to 40 years will be included in this club. Members of this club will participate in social and creative activities as well as implementation of government schemes and programs. Chief Minister said that former Prime Minister Late Shri Rajiv Gandhi started the information revolution in the country and played an important role in promoting computers. Suffrage to the youth, provided a special opportunity to the youth to move forward through the three-tier Panchayati Raj system.
Bastar MP Deepak Baij on the occasion said that state government is making continuous efforts for the welfare and development of every section of the society. Various schemes and programs of Chhattisgarh government are creating positive change in the lives of people. On the occasion, Chief Minister felicitated Chollywood superstar Sriprakash Awasthi, mountaineers Mr. Chitrasen Sahu and Ms Naina Singh Dhakad, singers Ms Aaru Sahu, Mr. Rishi Raj Pandey and Mr. Sahdev Dirdo, Mr. Kajol Srivas, Mr. Yogesh Kathulia, silver medalist in Para Olympics, UPSC selected Mr. Akash Shri Shrimal and Mr. Akash Shukla and Top Ten rank holders of CGPSC exam including Mr. Neeranidhi Nandeha, Mrs. Srishti Chandrakar, Mr. Sonal David, Mr. Gagan Sharma, Ms. Ruchi Shardul, Ms. Varsha Bansal, Ms. Harshalata Verma, Mrs. Ashree Mishra, Mr. Akash Shukla and Mrs. Madhulika Diksena.
