Overcast conditions to prevail in several parts of state

Raipur, May 16: The sky may be cloudy in the capital Raipur and several other parts of Chhattisgarh on Monday under the effect of cyclone Tauktae. In addition to this, Sarguja division and some parts adjoining Madhya Pradesh may experience light rains.
According to Meteorological Department the cyclone Tauktae is much away from Chhattisgarh and that it may have little impact in the state. However, moisture laden air from Bay of Bengal may lead to cloudy conditions and light rains at some parts of state.
The change in weather condition during the first fortnight of May this year brought relief to the people. Record rainfalls occuring during first fortnight caused drop in minimum temperature. Cool winds and rains brought respite from heat to the people.
