Nicobarese dancers staged an excellent performance in traditional attires

Raipur, Oct 31: On the third day of the ongoing National Tribal Dance Festival 2021 at Science College ground in the capital city Raipur, the artists of Nicobari tribe from Andaman and Nicobar today staged an excellent performance. The synchronized dance moves of the Nicobarese dancers in traditional attire was highly appreciated by the audience. People kept applauding throughout the performance at the program. Generally, this dance is performed by the Nicobarese tribe during marriage ceremony and all other festivals.
Nicobarese folk dance is the oldest traditional dance of Andaman and Nicobar, performed by the Nicobarese tribe living on the island of Andaman Nicobar. This dance is performed on the occasion of Purnima by both male and female dancers, while holding coconut leaves, their hands placed on each other’s shoulders.
