Demand raised for immediate arrest of absconding SI

The demand for the arrest of absconding police officer in gang rape case is getting momentum.
The police are claiming to have been vigorously searching for the sub-inspector Kishore Tiwari who is absconding as is the prime accused in gang rape in Bhanupratappur recently and the family members of the victim are under pressure to withdraw the case.  Frequent calls are coming 2 days back, the family had received an offer of Rs 500000 to withdraw the case over phone that came from Rajasthan. Three of the 4 accused in the case were caught easily and one police officer is absconding and forcing the family members to withdraw the case, questions have been raised about the police action and the role on the land.
On Wednesday, the delegation of  victims society and Scheduled Caste Sangharsh Morcha Chhattisgarh and Ganda Samaj reached the Collectorate under the leadership of MLA Antagarh Anoop Nag..
They submitted a memorandum in the name of Governor Anusuiya Uike and Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, demanding the execution of the main accused of gangrape, Sub-Inspector Kishore Tiwari.   The district president of the society, Ratan Tandia, said that if the accused is not arrested within 3 days, then the society will launch a fierce agitation. Meena Kuldeep said that pressure is being made by calling the girl’s family to withdraw the case and this call came from Rajasthan.
A meeting of Sarva Samaj was held in Antagarh about the case, in which the victim’s grandmother told in front of everyone, after the case was registered, her granddaughter was taken to Kanker for investigation, here accused Vikas then Dani’s brother had sent a relative to the victim’s grandmother for withdrawing the case.  On Wednesday, Bhanupratappur police had reached the district court Kanker to record the statement to the victim. In the CJM court, the victim’s statement was recorded in front of the judge with a pen-locked statement, along with the victim was left back under police protection at her house.
Talking to the people of the society, Superintendent of Police of Kanker district MR Ahire said that the accused is a policeman so do not think that he will be given police protection, the criminal will not get any protection from the police, action will be taken under the law. The search for the accused is on  and police teams have been sent to different places in the state
BJP district president Satish Lathia and former Zilla Panchayat president Siron Kamsar have demanded the arrest of the absconding accused soon while BJP’s district president Satish Latia said that the law in the state is deteriorating, on which the head of the government has no control.
