Completed projects of KVY, KBT to be handed over to RMC

Raipur, Jul 20: Taking an important decision in the cabinet held under chairmanship of CM Bhupesh Baghel, a decision was taken to handover the work of all the 58 colonies of Chhattisgarh Housing Board (CHB) in different districts of state to the urban bodies and the complete works that of sectors in Kamal Vihar Yojana (KVY); phase-I and II of Indraprastha Yojana; Dr Khoobchand Baghel Transport (KBT) and Shyama Prasad Mukherjee (SPM) Residential and commercial area to Raipur Municipal Corporation (RMC).
Taking an important decision, the cabinet decided to sell the self-financed residential and commercial properties of CHB at the actual cost of investment and made recommendations for ‘Vishesh Bhada Kray Yojana’ (VDKY) and one-time settlement. Under the VDKY and ‘samanya Bhada Kray Yojana’ (SBKY), a decision was taken to offer 15% rebate in the total interest amount for the last installment.
A decision was taken to sell 14 identified colonies and 7 commercial complexes of CHB at its actual cost of investment and this will reduce the average cost of houses by around 16.5%.
Amendments in Rule-8 of CBKN-2002:
In case of purchase of Ayurvedic medicines, herbal products and processed food items from minor forest produce by Chhattisgarh State Minor Forest Produce Association or by Public Private Partnership (PPP), amendment has been made into rule-8 of Chhattisgarh Bhandar Kray Niyam 2002 and Amended 2020 Act. Under this all the government departments of the state government, its subsidiaries and institutions under government’s command can purchase the Ayurvedic medicines, herbal products and processed food products as per their budget directly from CSMFP.
In this regard, a decision was taken to simplify the need for inviting tenders as per provisions of Chhattisgarh Bhandar Kray Niyam.
Transfer of land/property
to NNB:
Taking another important decision, Cabinet decided to transfer the sector-C under ownership of CSIDC (a subsidiary of Industry and Commerce Deptt) and that of 38.944 acre land of Industrial Development Centre -Sirgitti District Bilaspur to subsidiary of Housing and Environment Deptt- CHB and that of High-tech bus stand premises on 9 acre land of Industrial Development Centre Sirgitti under CSIDC to Nagar Nigam Bilaspur (NNB).
Financial package for
Pharma industry:
Similarly under the state’s Industrial Policy 2019-24, for investment into the Pharmaceutical Industry, a special investment promotional package was approved. Under this the benefit of the package would go to only those industries which enter into MoU with Chhattisgarh government within the dates of package declaration and executing the same.
So such units which can start its commercial production of Rs 15 cr and above with new permanent capital investment by 31 Oct 2024 or before it would get the benefits. Under this package, the maximum permissible investment limit for financial investment promotion will be Rs 20 crore. Under the special promotional package, a decision was taken to pass on hosts of facilities to Pharma industries viz. rebate in power tariff; rebate in stamp fees; relief in interest rates; grants for project report, quality certification and technical patent and other facilities. If these industries take part in the tender and are ready to provide quality medicines at L-1 rate, then a decision was taken to directly purchase maximum 50% of these medicines from these industries.
