Chh’garh received additional 2 lakh doses of Covishield vaccine

Raipur, Apr 29: Chhattisgarh Government on Thursday received nearly 2 lakh doses of Covishield vaccine from Centre for the ongoing vaccination drive for the people in the age group above 45 years. According to the information received, 17 packs of Covishield vaccine reached Raipur Airport from Mumbai for the vaccination of people. With the above arrival of vaccine, the people above 45 years of age would continue to get smooth vaccination in next few days. While few of them would get first dose of Covishield, thousands of others would get their final dose of Covishield as part of the vaccination drive in Chhattisgarh. Officials informed that additional nearly 2 lakh doses of vaccine are still with government at various vaccination centres across the Chhattisgarh apart from the Store of Government. However, the scenario is still not clear over the vaccination of next phase scheduled to begin from May 1 for the people in between the age group of 18 years to 44 years as the Manufacturing companies are still to supply it to Chhattisgarh government against the order of 50 lakh doses to them few days ago Chhattisgarh government is anxiously waiting response from the Vaccine manufacturing companies before it can draft work plan for the vaccination of the people in the age group from 18 years to 44 years.
