Chh’garh received 2 lakh doses of Covishield vaccine for 18+ category

Raipur, May 22: Chhattisgarh government on Saturday received nearly two lakh doses of vaccine for the ongoing vaccination campaign against Covid 19 for the eligible people from 18 years to 44 years.
According to information received, the state government officials received nearly 2 lakh doses of Covishield vaccine which reached here from Mumbai.
With the above consignment, the state government would be able to speed up the vaccination which had been going on in slow pace in the age group from 18 to 44 years. Officials claimed that with the above consignment, the drive would be able to speed up for next three-four days. However, the future campaign would depend on the supply of vaccine. It is notable that nearly 50 lakh doses of Covishield and 75 lakh doses of Covaxin have been ordered by the Chhattisgarh government for the age group from 18 years to 44 years.
Meanwhile, the vaccination of 45 years plus category too is going on smoothly as most of them are going for the second dose of their vaccine.
Meanwhile, NHMMI became the first private Organization to received nearly 700 doses of Covaxin for its staff and their family members.
